An Ode to Coffee.
(Mamiya RZ67 + Polaroid back / Fuji 3000b & Fuji 100c)

I enjoy many coffee-making processes...except drip and single-serve machines. I dedicate a silly amount of kitchen cabinet space to my partners in coffee brewing crime. If you come to my home prior to 9pm, I'll likely bore you with a tour of my brew cabinet (yes, I'm that lame) and shove a cup down your boca. Three devices reign supreme: the Bialetti Moka, the Chemex, the coffee (french) press. Often, my only form of physical exertion for the week comes from manually grinding beans. I cheat on my antiquated processes with a milk frother made by Starbucks (yes, it's pretty awesome and definitely worth the money considering my ridiculous consumption of lattes). Just a bit of useless information about me and how I spend 10 minutes of my day...every day.

Fruth Farms. (on assignment for Edible Dallas & Fort Worth magazine)
Cash, TX.
October 2012.

Truthfully, I have plenty of words that describe my assignment at Fruth Farms, but I'm going to be lazy and just say it in one all-encompassing, overused but totally true word: AWESOME. And I don't feel a bit guilty about my aforementioned laziness because I mustered up a few hundred words about the event in the article that accompanies some of these photographs. So, click here to see more photos (my editor's picks) and details about a typical day at Fruth Farms / Love Your Farmer Day hosted by White Rock Local Market

p.s.
Owner, Caroline Fruth is super rad...like secret role model cool...Dallas-ites should gobble up her goods (found at White Rock Local Market) and revel in the relief that comes with knowing your food came from a eco-conscious/skillfully-applied and sustainable place.
